Pearson launch myBTEC at BETT
Pearson are launching myBTEC, a new resource for BTEC teachers, at BETT today.
It will quite literally transform the way teachers develop BTEC courses. It’s a fantastic new tool which provides a framework in which to build courses, linking content together into a workflow. It also substantially reduces the amount of paperwork teachers have to complete.
Doner was briefed to develop a myBTEC online sales presenter, including a video, to highlight the key benefits.
The proposition is that myBTEC releases teachers to teach again. The creative thoughts is the gentle play on words It’s About Time. This focuses on the core benefits that myBTEC gives teachers. Time to plan. Time to think. Time to teach.
Timings for this project were incredibly tight. myBTEC had to launch at BETT, and so we had to work really quickly to produce a tool that simply and effectively communicates the benefits of the resource, and was also really easy to use.
We’re really pleased with the result, and we’ve had some lovely feedback from our friends at Pearson too:
And thanks for everything you and the team at Doner did to get the presenter and video ready for BETT. We were on crazy timelines and I’m impressed and grateful with what you have achieved.

30 January 2013Rebuilding confidence in BTEC qualifications
At the start of 2011, the Government published the Wolf Report which sought to consider the role and value of vocational education in the UK. This publication led the Government into a broad consultation with industry about the future of vocational education in schools and colleges.
During this period of consultation Doner worked with Pearson to produce a range of advertising which reinforced the value of their leading vocational qualification, the BTEC. Indeed, as the consultation concluded and the government published their own plans for vocational education, the campaign line genuinely delivered on its earlier prediction, that BTECs in 2012 would be stronger and more relevant than ever before.

23 February 2012Pearson Education
Pearson Education is the global leader in educational publishing, both print and digital.
Since 2005 we’ve developed, grown and managed their eCRM programmes across some of the world’s most respected education brands including Heinemann, Longman, Edexcel, BBC Active, Rigby and Ginn.
Teachers are busy people and they certainly let you know when you get it wrong (well, it comes with the territory). So we are very proud of the success of our huge range of emails for Primary and Secondary schools that keep their databases up to date with the latest news, vocational courses, features and offers available.
We do some great work on Pearson and can honestly say that we learn something new every day.
